So far, according to my iTunes Connect mobile app, 12 people have downloaded Weird Squirrel. Most of them are of U.S. origin. Others are from U.K., Turkey and Russia. I did not see anyone from Japan yet. I'll need to boost sales there. I am currently researching marketing strategies through websites.
I showed off my game to some people I know and I found that a common complaint about it is the control scheme. I will work on multiple control schemes and show them off on another post later. I plan to include other features in the next update.

Weird Squirrel Approved for App Store Distribution
Apple has finally approved my first iOS game Weird Squirrel for distribution on the App Store. I have updated my website to include an App Store badge and a link to the iTunes page. You can buy my game for 99 cents in the U.S. App Store. Here is the link to the game: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/weird-squirrel/id495340568?mt=8

New Icon Art, Localization and Tweaks
I have been busy integrating Game Center to the game, doing Japanese localization and other things. I have changed the iTunes artwork of the game to something really better. No more zoomed pixel look! This same artwork is also used as an app icon. Also, I added leaderboard features to the game. I haven't integrated the achievements yet, but I am working on it. If you look down to the title screen, you will find the Game Center button on the bottom left corner. I think it looks too small. I think I should change that. Any comments?

Added Animations and Different Enemy Types
I just added animations to my squirrel and two types of bird. At the time of release, there will be only red and green birds. Each bird will give you different amount of points.
Updated Title Screen and Enemies
I have changed the background image for the title menu. Also, I have replaced the ball-shaped (Angry) bird with a my new red bird. Let me know what you guys think.

More Tweaks on Weird Squirrel
To make my story short, I started working on an iOS shooter game called Weird Squirrel since fall of 2010. I halted development on it on June 2011 because somebody snatched my iPhone 4 from my hand while riding the subway train and I had to use my old, slow iPhone 3G after that incident. So, I developed another iOS game called QuickHeist, which can run on old devices. However, I bought a new iPhone 4S on December 2011 and decided to resume development of Weird Squirrel.
So far, I have made excellent progress with my game. I plan to add few more features to make the game worthy of 99 cent price tag. In order to (hopefully) register for GDC 2012 in time, I am rushing my development so I could submit my game within a week.
